6th Annual Silent Auction: Saturday July 26, 2008

CFSI Silent Auction to be Held July 26th at Firehouse Expo

On July 26, 2008, the Congressional Fire Services Institute will hold its 6th Annual Silent Auction at the Firehouse Expo in Baltimore, Maryland.  A popular event among the 18,000 trade show attendees, the auction takes place at the entrance to the exhibit hall and offers a wide variety of exciting items on which to bid, including NASCAR tickets, fire helmets, autographed sports merchandise, hotel rooms and many other great items.  Bidding will begin at 10:00 AM and end at precisely 2:00 PM, at which point in time the winning bidders are expected to be present and take their merchandise.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI).  CFSI is a non-profit, non-partisan policy institute established in 1989 to educate members of Congress on fire and life safety issues.   CFSI has served the lead role in bringing the national fire service organizations together to work in partnership with members of Congress to advocate for a number of important issues including continued funding of the FIRE and SAFER grant programs, implementation of the Hometown Heroes Survivors Benefit Act, and advocating for the passage of the Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act.
