The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) is accepting nominations for the 2026 Senator Paul S. Sarbanes Fire Service Safety Leadership Award. This award honors organizations for implementing innovative programs to advance firefighter health and safety. The award presentation will take place on March 19, 2026 at the 36th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner in Washington, DC, before 1,500 state and national fire service officials.

Co-sponsored by CFSI, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, VFIS and UL Research Institutes’ Fire Safety Research Institute, the Senator Paul S. Sarbanes Fire Service Safety Leadership Award is presented to organizations for implementing innovative programs to advance firefighter health and safety.
